There lived a secular beggar who changed his place of profession each day with days of worship. Thus he landed up, at a church on Sunday, a mosque on Friday and at different shrines on other days. He walked to distant places in strain and pain. A unique quality he carried through out his professional stint of 30 long years apart from begging was cursing. While people thronged at god to please him with offerings and prayers. He, sitting out, feeling alone, would get on to cursing the god for his miseries.
Gaining experience in his profession, and, his constant association with different religions, He understood that what ever the place of worship and religion may be, the faith in god is same and the God who answered prayers was same. With ever increase in numbers at worship places, the secular beggar, increased his cursing too. Curse or pray, the God is with you. That’s God’s benevolence. God one day in leisure thought that he had enough, and decided to settle the issue with the beggar, so he walked up to the beggar and asked what he could do to end the sorrows.
Being Fed up with long walks to temples, churches, etc. the beggar thought that a motor vehicle with ever full petrol would be the best for him. God granted the wish and vanished. With a god gifted mobility the beggar started covering more places with increased earnings. Coughing up in traffic chaos, the secular beggar soon realized that his wish landed up in greatest misery of his life. With a new found sorrow the beggar got back to his best skill, cursing God. This time, to his surprise, God answered him early. The beggar challenged god, on his awareness of traffic chaos. The complaints on Traffic were a regular and ever increasing with God, sympathising thoroughly, God asked the beggar what his wish would be.
The secular beggar now wished for god to be his driver hence forth, so that he can reach his places in peace. With sympathy at heart, God granted his wish and started driving the beggar daily in disguise. Few days passed on and now beggar grew in money and comforts. With new found peace due to economical gain, the beggar grew more intelligent. He thought that God was wasting his time by waiting for him between his pickups. So a thought flashed to him. The next day on their drive, the Beggar prayed god for the first time to grant a wish. God being new to his prayers enquired what that was.
The Beggar spoke hesitatingly “ hey god you have been kind enough in coming all the way with me to places and spending equal time there, I think two people for one job is sheer waste of energy, from tomorrow you go to the temples , beg and come back with collection, we will share together ”. God exclaimed, “Awe some” and vanished with the vehicle, leaving him his good olden days.
“A fool can use his boon only to gain a ban”
